Development Environment

The CLforJava development environment has several interacting components that together provide the capabilities for code development, testing, building, specification, status reporting, collaboration and overall management. The major components are:

• Perforce
  • The purpose of the configuration management system is to facilitate the development of CLforJava by managing changes to the source files and build system, saving all revisions/versions of the project and preventing the loss of any stored data.
• Defect Tracking
  • The purpose of Bugzilla is to provide a bug tracking mechanism.
• IDE
  • The IDE group falls into three major categories: IDE, Build System, and Testing(UnitTesting Java & UnitTestingLisp).
